I'm back here with a post for my 18th birthday!
It started on 22 Oct, met up with my dear torty, Charis for dinner at Sakae @ CP! Ate Tori Udon; plain and normal yet very tasty!~ And as usual, she wasted foodddd BUT getting better this time, as she knows all the time I'm a nagger!
Before the dinner, she passed me my birthday present! sooo happy and shocked *it might be expected of but definitely I was still very surprised with it*
We went to Mac's after that as Chi Hui-san wanted to show me her design assignments! Her works are great, 10 million times well done than what I'd done last year in design school =_=
Assignments covered skills like graphic design, illustration, photography, brainstorming all sorts of ideas on designing and crafts. It's just so cool right? :D
We stayed there for nearly 2 to 3 hours, chatting and having fun all along, exactly a mutual friend, whom you can chat with about happenings between dream and reality; about life.
torty gave me a bottle of jelly drink (placed in the fridge first) and…*TADAH!*:

To torty:
thanks for the presents! I love them! anyway, what's more important is as always; have trust and faith in what you're doing, alike me, self-expectations are high which become stress in us, but don't give up! life is meant to be tough… I believe and think you're doing well at your standards now, keep going and don't be affected by negative impacts on you or your surroundings (it's of course hard to ignore, but you need to keep your mind positive and strong)
(was thinking, did I waste nearly $2.5k(school fee at design school) for a $7 fee(changing of course choices) that I'm unwilling to spend? perhaps if I changed my choice to NYP's VSC, I might not be doing well in my studies, but a friend like you inside the same course might made me determined to stay and not quit school)
23 Oct:
Met up with xyz in school to have lunch before heading down to town. The weather SUCKS. I was about to faint from heat stroke! We walked and shopped along Orchard road;
Far East > ION > Wisma > Takashimaya > Heeren (these took 5~6 hours)
We went to Swatch outlets at ION, Taka and Heeren, as I was desperate for a proper watch over the last few years. Bifang knew about it as I told her last Wednesday when we went out for movie. I need to assure myself which watch I'll be going for. Xyz likes one of the watches and we made a deal to buy it next weekend after receiving our pays.
Finally saw the rest, Bifang, Joc, Juliana, Sock Yee and her sister at Heeren's Thai Express. They surprised me with a flat cookie cake with icing on top baked by Sock Yee! *so sweet!*
Right after the cookie cake thingy, our dear xyz-san shocked me totally. 1st BIRTHDAY SURPRISE in my life? No idea.
But I was SO HYPER and almost MAD with HAPPINESS when xyz took out the present from her bag… saw this long box with a small birthday card on it… I didn't get to see what was the present exactly, up to the next moment when the word 'SWATCH' was seen on the box.
Up till now, you (should) know what was the present they've gotten me? Ya lah. MY DREAM SWATCH WATCH THAT I'VE BEEN LOO
(my sis and her bf shared the present too)
I wore the watch immediately XD
To Joc: feifei, thanks for the drawing on the box! I'll keep it for memories XD
To Bifang: LOL so they got the infor from you about the watch! Now you played the important role in the outcome of my present! hahaha! thanks very much girl ^^
To Sock Yee: sock, thanks so much for your effort in baking me the cookie cake! it's really lovely! it's yummy with the flavour of chocolate chips~
To Juliana: thanks for coming down to town to meet us though you're busy and tired! it's the toughest period for you right now, chiong all your way through for your 'A's and I'll see you as a student of NUS/NTU/local U next July/Aug! anticipates for the period you're moving back to purple line! welcome back ^^
Thanks everyone, I'm blessed with happiness this 18th birthday of mine; since at the same time last year, I was bothered with upsetting school issues…
